Becoming Us
April 2025 Perinatal Relationships, Wellbeing & Mental Health (PRaM) Level I Live Online Course
How would it feel if you could prepare expectant mothers, fathers or parents for the rapid life changes, unexpected stresses and steep learning curves of the postnatal period?
What difference would it make to you and your clients if you knew how to provide support for the overwhelming transitions and intense mental, emotional and relational growth of becoming a new family?
Do you want simple but powerful interventions, frameworks and skills to support the whole family, even if you solely work with mothers and only have a minute to spare?
Relationship preparation and support are crucial components of perinatal care and you don't need to be a relationship therapist to do this work. Discover how even small relationship-based interventions can make a big difference for the parents and families in your care.
Becoming Us is designed for:
Antenatal and birth professionals: childbirth educator, midwife, OB/GYN or doula.
Postnatal/Postpartum and infant care professionals: pediatrician, child and family health nurse, health visitor, postpartum doula, lactation consultant, sleep consultant.
Perinatal mental health or therapy professionals: perinatal psychiatrist, psychologist, psychotherapist, LMFT, social worker or counsellor.
Perinatal health or natural therapies professionals: physiotherapist, prenatal yoga teacher or pregnancy massage therapist.
Educational professionals: early childhood teacher, parenting, relationship or life coach.
Community leaders: manager with an employer of choice, service organisation or spiritual leader.
Can you say that a training is beautiful? Because this training is beautiful!

This is a gigantic missing piece of the big picture. This knowledge really adds depth and a new dimension, opening up all kinds of possibilities for educating and supporting parents so they get the best possible start.

As a relationship counsellor and a new mother at the same time, Elly Taylor was shocked to discover it was nobody's actual role to prepare parents for the (normal) life changes and unexpected challenges that come with new parenthood, leaving mothers, fathers and parents more at risk for perinatal mental health conditions and relationship problems.
Working intimately with parents and partners over two decades, Elly created Becoming Us, a ground-breaking relational approach to pregnancy and early parenthood that supports the mental and emotional wellbeing of the whole family.
Elly's passion is equipping perinatal professionals with strategies, skills and guidelines to do this powerful and meaningful work. We hope you'll join us for our next "immersion" training to see for yourself the difference it can make for you and the families you care for!
